On May 24, 2007 at about 9:00 AM PDT, the WebSrtAdmin web server will be
changing its name. Currently the WebSrtAdmin system is accessed through
the server:

advance.colorado.edu

On May 24, it will change to:

websrt.colorado.edu

These 2 hostnames resolve to the same physical machine, i.e., they are
DNS aliases for the same machine. But because of the way cookies work,
WebSrtAdmin will only work if you use the correct hostname. I have put
some code in place that should catch attempts to access the system using
the wrong hostname. send you to an error page and provide the correct
link to the Login Page.

The impact on users will be that any links or bookmarks will have to be
changed to reflect this change. On May 24, you will need to change
advance to websrt. In addition, are links or bookmarks that directly
reference WebSrtAdmin pages, for example:

http://advance.colorado.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/drjohn/Publication

will then get the error page. The new login page will be:

http://websrt.colorado.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/drjohn/WebSrtLogin
